Next week on Friday 5/24 I’ll be doing the opening slot at Red Fridays at U Street Music Hall, warming up for house legend Todd Terry. Again I’ll be playing vinyl only, and I can’t wait to put U Hall’s incredible sound system to good use. I also looking forward to hearing a legend work that system! I’ll be celebrating my birthday tonight, May 4, and Backbar under the 9:30 club. Boss Ross and I will be on deck duties, playing deep cuts straight from the vinyl all night long. We’ll be kicking off the celebrations at 11.00pm, and we’ll keep going until the powers that be tell us to stop! if you’re not familiar with jimmy valentine’s, it’s the only bar in dc that made playboy magazine’s list of “america’s greatest late night bars”. a little off the beaten trail, but well worth the trip.
