Thursday night kicks off with the latest edition of Chadwick‘s Headroom Listening Sessions at Flash, where you can hear the latest productions from DC’s many talented producers showcased on  Flash‘s  Funktion One sound system. If you’re an aspiring producer yourself, it’s a great way to network with other local producers, and if you’re not, it’s a great way to hear amazing new tracks, hot off the press. Four tracks premiered at HEADROOM recently have charted on Beatport, including one that reach #1 in the techno chart and #4 in the sales chart, so get yourself down there to hear what’s going to be putting DC on the map in the coming months!

In terms of other highlights this weekend, Playlist with  Jubilee Ramirez  at Eighteenth Street Lounge is always a great bet for Thursday nights, then on Friday there’s so much to choose from, I don’t know where to start. At Flash, the man, the legend Danny Tenaglia makes his Flash debut with support from Navbox. It’s gonna be a packed house, make no mistake, so be sure you pick up advanced tickets if you want to reserve your spot on the dance floor. If proper techno in a warehouse with a banging sound system is more your cup o’tea, then put Sequence.313_DJ Stingray on your itinerary. DC House Grooves Top Picks of the Best Underground House and Electronic Music Events in Washington DC April 12 to April 15

Just about back up to speed after another incredible weekend in the District. Katrina Mir and I had a great time throwing down with Sarah Myers and Georg:ev in the Green Room at Flash on Friday. Sounding so good up there after the recent sound upgrades! Thanks for inviting us to plan, Sarah, and thanks as always to the team at Flash for helping everything run smoothly. Always a great time spinning in the Green Room! Saturday night, we headed to El Techo for Ladies of the Underground with Vanniety KillsSabeel Chohan and  Katrina Mir, and the ladies sure delivered! Great sets all round, and despite being completely exhausted from Friday night, my feet were tapping all night long! El Techo has got some great DJs line up in the coming weeks, and it’s an amazing intimate rooftop space with a Balearic friends and family vibe… and did I mention the food? So damn good. Pro-tip: leave some room for dessert. The flan is incredible!  This Friday evening, catch Omar Strikestone!  at El Techo. Then on Saturday afternoon, be sure to check out the  Preview boys  Jon_MFD and Christauff, then stick around for The Jones Boys (Aaron SparksRich Thomas), then on Sunday afternoon, head back to the for the wonderful Heather Femia. Every one a winner! Keep an eye out for more events at El Techno in the coming weeks and months, showcasing the best local DJ talent DC has to offer.
