We’ve just about recovered from last weekend’s double header at Flash. I had a great time warming up the floor for Micfreak and Mike Huckaby on Friday night, then Katrina Mir absolutely destroyed the club level with an amazing, take no prisoners, all vinyl closing set that left the room wanting more! Huge thanks to the whole crew at Flash for looking after us both and making sure everything ran smoothly. You guys always treat us right, and we really appreciate it.
If you weren’t in the room on Saturday, make sure you catch Katrina Mir next time she’s behind the decks. Once she gets going, you won’t be able to stop dancing! Sadly, we didn’t manage to record her set from Saturday, but we successfully captured my open set from Friday, which you can check out on the DC House Grooves SoundCloud page.

Apologies to anyone who checked DC House Grooves last week for your weekend listings. Had too much on my plate last week, so took a week off. Back again this week, feeling refreshed after an amazing time dancing to Theo Parrish at Darkroom in Baltimore last Saturday. It was amazing to see all the heads out in force to hear a true master throwing down, open to close. It really was as good as it gets! Kudos to Feroun and the rest of the Darkroom crew for curating another amazing event.
Before I get into this week’s listings, a quick heads up: next Saturday, November 23, Flash is hosting another edition of Resident Nights, where locals take over all three floors of the club. On the club level, our very own Katrina Mir will be throwing down an all vinyl set alongside Peter Kaufmann and Kaylasoul, while in the Green Room, Sam Burns brings the heat with support from Just Chad and Kochi and Jandro hold things down in the bar. Looking forward to another amazing night at Flash, and I hope to see you all there. Support your locals!
Back to this weekend, and you can catch me, Andy Grant, and Katrina Mir throwing down some laid back jams to socialize to at everyone’s favorite speakeasy Allegory at Eaton this Friday, open to close. Excited to explore the deeper reaches of our USBs! Wherever you’re heading on Friday night, stop by for a drink with us at Allegory. No cover!
Then on Saturday night, we’re at it again with Episode #060 of the DC House Grooves Show on Underground Quality Radio with special guest Baronhawk Poitier (TNX), Andy Grant, Katrina Mir and Ramirez. We’ve been wanting to get Baronhawk on the show for some time, and I can’t wait to hear what he’s got lined up. Tune in from 10pm ET this Saturday!
For a taste of what to expect on Saturday, check out the recording of our last show, featuring a headline set from yours truly.
Other major highlights this weekend include Sequence with VTSS, Rachel Noon, Gabberbitch69, Furtive, Rush Plus, Tsurigi and Juana this Friday at a very special location. For proper techno in the district this weekend, look no further than Sequence!
On Saturday, Flash looks a bit special, with Fabric London resident Craig Richards headlining the main room with support from Taimur & Navbox, with drum and bass in the bar from Rubble & Ranks and Ken Lazee.
Then on Sunday, all roads lead to Eighteenth Street Lounge for Sam Burns‘ weekly residency and Sundays Rooftop with Detroit’s Daniel Andres and Benoit. Daniel always delivers the goods, so don’t sleep on this one! No cover, so definitely the best value option for Sunday grooving!
See below for full listings of all the good stuff this weekend, Thursday through Sunday, plus weekend line ups for Flash and Eighteenth Street Lounge. Wherever you end up, have an amazing time, and I hope to see you out there on the dance floor.
