It’s been a while since I’ve had time to pull together a DC House Grooves Midweek Round Up, but this week I figured I’d make time, since we’ve got several electronic music heavyweights hitting DC this Wednesday night. Over at Flash, Mr. Bedrock himself John Digweed returns to give the Funktion Ones another Wednesday night workout with the Brown Elvis and Nü Androids crews, with support from Eric Bingham in the main room, and Mark Thompson and Peter Psaltakis from Cue Radio in the Flash Bar. Meanwhile, down at U Street Music Hall, Nightmares on Wax will be bringing the bleep with support from Christine Moritz. Both solid options for dance floor action this Wednesday night depending on your musical taste and budget. If you’ve already got a ticket, you can catch Disclosure with support from Claude Von Stroke over at Echostage, but that one is sold out already. And of course, if you’re out in Northern VA, Transit is back at The Auld Shebeen in Fairfax celebrating Marty McFly’s arrival in the future. Not a bad set of choices for a Wednesday night!
Check back tomorrow for the DC House Grooves Weekend Round Up, listing all my picks and full listings of all the best underground house and electronic music events in and around Washington DC for the coming weekend.
