UPDATE: Our friends at the Grand Ancestor warehouse are having a fundraiser in the early hours of Saturday morning, kicking off at 1am with music from Tommy Cornelis, Hot Coffee and Team Zapata. What better way to help keep the lights on and get the rent paid at the best late night spot in town than dancing until sunrise to an all star local line up working the majestic Grand Ancestor sound system. Advance tickets are $20 on eventbrite, and you can make extra donations if you so choose. Always a good time at the spot, and you’ll be helping keeping things going. To be clear, there are no . tickets at the door! You must have an eventbrite ticket to attend.
Just a quick post this week. First up, a quick reminder about the triumphant return of Late Night Mischief next weekend on Saturday February 23 with Berlin’s Session Victim and Martín Miguel putting the mighty Grand Ancestor 2.0 Sound System to work in a cool warehouse space. It’s a ticket only event, so make sure you grab your $20 tickets before the price goes up. I’ve got a feeling this one will be a bit special, so don’t sleep!
See below for my full list of Top Picks for the weekend, featuring all the best underground house and electronic music events in Washington DC this weekend, Thursday through Sunday. Lots of good stuff to choose from this weekend, with a stellar line up Thursday through Saturday at Flash, culminating with an open to close set from house legend Kerri Chandler on Saturday, the return of Deep Sugar After Hours on Saturday at Factory 17 in Baltimore, serious business every night of the weekend at Selva by El Techo, with Navbox and Breiten the highlight on Saturday, and on Sunday, a new party Sunday Relapse at Jimmy Valentines with Team Zapata, Joe L and Harper looks like a good time. I’ve included all the flyers below, and all you Facebookers can click the headings for each day to see the list of event pages. Have a good one!
