DC House Grooves Top Picks of the Best Underground House and Techno Events in Washington DC November 14 to November 17

Apologies to anyone who checked DC House Grooves last week for your weekend listings. Had too much on my plate last week, so took a week off. Back again this week, feeling refreshed after an amazing time dancing to Theo Parrish at Darkroom in Baltimore last Saturday. It was amazing to see all the heads out in force to hear a true master throwing down, open to close. It really was as good as it gets! Kudos to Feroun and the rest of the Darkroom crew for curating another amazing event.

Before I get into this week’s listings, a quick heads up: next Saturday, November 23, Flash is hosting another edition of Resident Nights, where locals take over all three floors of the club. On the club level, our very own Katrina Mir will be throwing down an all vinyl set alongside Peter Kaufmann and Kaylasoul, while in the Green Room, Sam Burns brings the heat with support from Just Chad and Kochi and Jandro hold things down in the bar. Looking forward to another amazing night at Flash, and I hope to see you all there. Support your locals!

Spring is finally here, looks like the weather’s gonna be warming up this weekend, and things are really starting to heat up out there on the dance floor here in Washington DC. This week sees the welcome return of Daytime Discothèque, which celebrates its third anniversary on Sunday with a fantastic line up including Tilman (fine records ), Trev-Ski ( Live Set ), Juan Zapata, Samantha Francesca, Hot Coffee & Tom Fee. I’m all about that live set from a man like Trev-ski. Can’t wait! It’s a BYOB joint, and they’ll be firing up the grill, so it’s bring your own meats and veggies, too. A proper family fair all round. Needle drops around 1pm, so if you’re up for some quality Sunday afternoon vibes, grab your ticket now. No door sales, so don’t sleep!
