Big thanks to everyone who came out to Beats Maneuver with DJ Heather and Team Zapata on Sunday! Another super fun time on the rooftop at Public Bar! We’re taking a few weeks off with Beats Maneuver, but we’ll be back on Sunday August 12 with an epic line up hosted by New York’s finest Rissa Garcia, making her Washington DC debut. Not to be missed! I also want to give a big shout out to DJ Soul for last Saturday’s Skate Fever! at Anacostia Skate Pavilion. An amazing idea, and whole lot of fun! Great sets from Hot Coffee, Katrina Mir, DJ Soul & Benoit, and it was nothing short of amazing seeing Katrina Mir throw down a DJ set in roller skates! The next Skate Fever! is on September 3, so mark it in your calendar, dust off your roller skates, and get ready to groove at the roller disco. And if you don’t have skates, don’t worry! Skate rentals at the Anacostia Skate Pavilion are 100% free.
Ok, on to this weekend. Got a bunch of gigs to get ready for this weekend, so will have to make this quick. Friday night, Katrina Mir and I will be opening up the room at U Street Music Hall for Anthony Naples and local heroes Rush Plus at what promises to be an amazing night of music. Spinning at U Street Music Hall is always a joy, and we can’t wait to set the tone for the evening. Tickets are just $10, in advance or on the door. Hope to see you there!
Then on Saturday, we’re at it again, bringing the sunny disco vibes to the rooftop at The Embassy Row Hotel at the Elevate Rooftop Pool Party alongside Zamkov and Tony Smooth. The perfect way to spend your Saturday afternoon and evening, dancing, sipping cocktails by the pool on the rooftop as the sun sets, with the sound track provided by a solid line up of local talent. Needle drops at 2pm, so grab your bathing suit and your sunscreen, and we’ll see you on the rooftop by the pool.
Saturday night, we’ll be at it again on the DC House Grooves Show on Underground Quality Radio with the always amazing DJ Ramirez (Roots & Spirits). The show kicks off at 10pm ET, and you know what to expect: quality, deep, underground tunes served up fresh from the wax.
One last thing before this week’s DC House Grooves Top Pick links, a new Meet the Locals podcast from Steve Kirn. A welcome change of pace from recent mixes on the podcast, this one is 80 minutes of hypnotic dark techno, not too fast, just the way we like it.
You can catch Steve Kirn next at Blueprint featuring Monix alongside Sequence‘s Ron Jackson at Jimmy Valentine’s Lonely Hearts Club on July 28.
OK, on to this week’s DC House Grooves Top Pick links. Just click the link for each day to see my list of events for each day. Wish I had time to compile them all here, but there’s just so many great events happening these days, I just don’t have enough hours in the day to list them all here.
Highlights for Thursday include Playlist with Jubilee & Hakob at Eighteenth Street Lounge and Headroom followed by Cadence with Total Science , Bachelors of Science and West Coast legend Onionz at Flash. Serious business all round!
Friday night we’ll be getting down with Rush Plus and Anthony Naples at U Street Music Hall, but later on we’ll be heading over to wish Uncle Benny a very happy 35th birthday at Uncle Benny’s 35th Birthday Express with Detroit’s Daniel Andres & Benoit at Jimmy Valentine’s Lonely Hearts Club.I mean, just look at the flyer… I mean, you’ve got to, right?
For after hours action on Friday, head to the warehouse for Sequence.734 with Erika, Sophia Saze, Arthur Kimskii& Associate. Always an amazing crowd at Sequence, real techno for the heads. Advance tickets recommended.
Saturday, there’s just too much to choose from: Eddie C at Darkroom in Baltimore, Deep Sugar Artscape Marathon Session with Ultra Naté, Lisa Moody, Wayne Davis and Mookie Brock at Factory 17, Baltimore, Sarah Myers all night long at El Techo, The NeedlExchange with In Training on the Grand Ancestor sound system everyone’s favorite warehouse location, DMV Deep‘s inaugural shindig at U Street Music Hall and Jake the Rapper at Flash, and that’s not even everything. You’re gonna need to make some tough decisions! Eddie C is always on point, but if you can’t deal with the trip to Baltimore, I’d say you can’t go wrong withThe NeedlExchange with In Training on the Grand Ancestor sound system.
Sunday is an easy choice: house heads head to Eighteenth Street Lounge for Sundays Rooftop with Javonntte (live), Daniel Andres & Benoit. Javonntte‘s one of the most prolific producers of quality house music right now, and every one of his releases is an instant purchase for me. Always a Javonntte release in my bag! Can’t wait to see what he’s got lined up for us on the patio at ESL this Sunday.
…and if you’re looking for a Sunday dose of techno, head to Public Bar for Younan Music‘s Rooftop Sessions with Boris, Saeed Younan and Oliver Caine. Always a good time on the rooftop at Public Bar!
Right.. gotta sign off now. Need to pick out records for Friday night and get some tracks ripped for Saturday. There’s so many more great parties this weekend that I just don’t have time to give the attention they deserve, so make sure you check the Top Pick links above, and apologies if I haven’t covered your party here. I try and spread the love as best I can! I’ll be back with more DC House Grooves Top Picks next week, same time same place. See you on the dance floor!
In the beginning, there was Jack, and Jack had a groove. What Jack didn’t have, was the DC House Grooves Weekend Round Up to guide him through the best places to satiate the uncontrollable desire to jack his body. So you’re one up on Jack already! I’d call that a result. So I’m just about recovered from Saturday’s amazing Midnight Project party with Steven Tang, myself, Dansman and R&B. All I can say is wow! The crowd was amazing, and gave me exactly the energy and vibe I needed to play at my best. Huge thanks to the Deep Secrets and Nomad crews for booking me to play Midnight Project. I can’t wait to do it again! For a full review of the event, check out the DC House Grooves Review by our correspondent James Constant, and make sure you grab your advanced tickets to the next Midnight Project with Fred P, Sarah Myers, Philco and R&B on March 19. No Meet the Locals Podcast this week. You’ll just have to make do with the recording of my set from Midnight Project 🙂
Before I get stuck in to this weekend, I wanted to give a mention to the DC edition of Berning Down the House, a fundraiser for Bernie Sanders to be held at Flash on March 19. Organized by Flash resident Sarah Myers andsponsored by DC House Grooves, this event will feature a huge line up of talented locals, and I hear some international caliber talent too. Whatever your politics, I encourage you to make an effort to come out and support. With such an amazing set of local talent involved, it’s guaranteed to be a great vibe all night, and I’m sure there’ll be a few surprises along the way.
The big news, or should I say HUGE news this weekend is Soul Connection at The Dance Loft featuring two giants of underground house and disco, Danny Krivit and Ron Trent. Either one of these headlining would be big news on their own, but the two of them together make for such a legendary line up, I can barely contain myself. This event, brought to you by Deep Secrets, Adrian Loving, House-N-U and The Star Alliance promises to be one for the record books, and with SQ Audio providing the sound, bass will most definitely be in the place.
If anyone is interested in writing a review of Soul Connection for DC House Grooves, please get in touch.
I’ll be at Flash on Friday behind the decks withmy brothers DJ Nav and Marc Cotterell (Plastik People Recordings). I’ve known Marc online for nearly 15 years since the days when we would perform live shows on the gone, but not forgotten, Planetsoul Network radio station, but we’ve never met in person before! Looking forward to finally meeting Marc and throwing down a few tunes with him. Marc will also be playing Sundays Rooftop at Eighteenth Street Lounge on Sunday along with DJ Nav, so you’ve got another chance to catch him while he’s in town. Don’t sleep! Proper house music for the heads. Upstairs, at Flash on Friday, DC and Baltimore unite as the residents take over, with DJ Lisa Frank topping the bill with support from Feroun and Philip Goyette.
I suppose I should also give a mention to the legendary Danny Tenaglia‘s appearance at Soundcheck on Sunday, but seems like he’ll only be playing a short set. Worth going if you want to check a name off a list, but for the full experience you really need to hear Danny playing a long set. He’s only really getting going at the three hour mark, and I fear that’s all he’ll be getting at Soundcheck on Sunday.
Anyway, here’s this week’s picks. Full listings after.

We’ve just about made it through another week, and once again its time to document the events for the coming weekend in our fair city. We had a great time last weekend at Body Werk at DC9 Nightclub, with Gamble & Puff (Chadwick & Meegs) delivering an amazing set in the main room, while Vanniety Kills & Seany Ranks laid down some fine house vibes on the rooftop. We hear that one young lady was particularly impressed with Seany’s skills, but that’s a whole other story. We’ll be back at DC9 next month with another edition of Body Werk, but if you can’t wait until then, we’ll be werkin’ the Flash Bar this coming Friday, with Andy Grant performing a marathon solo set from 9pm until they kick him off the decks, taking you on a 6+ hour journey. Stop by and show your support!

Every week, we like to bring you some mixes to listen to while you’re planning out your weekend, and this week we’ve got two incredible mixes for you from two of DC’s finest. First up, we’ve got the latest edition of the Extended Familypodcast, which chronicles the vibe of the underground scene here in DC. Each edition drops on the 4th day of each month, and this month’s edition is from none other that DC’s very own underground “it” girl, DJ Lisa Frank. We’re really loving this mix, which has a lovely, deep underground vibe that perfectly captures Lisa’s unique style. Make sure you follow Extended Family on Soundcloud so you don’t miss any of their future updates.
Our other mix this week is the latest edition in the FORWARD Festival 2015 Infinity Mix Series, where Chadwick literally takes things to the next level, blending multiple tracks and loops to provide a seamless trip to places you’ve never been before.
FORWARD 2015 is fast approaching, and the Tier One passes are nearly gone. Make sure you grab yours before the prices go up! Believe me, you won’t regret it.
One last thing before we get into the picks for the coming weekend. Long servingDC DJ and producer Thomas Blondet has a track coming out next week on Large Musicwith an Inner Rebels remix. We’re really loving the original mix, a fantastic tension builder guaranteed to get things going on the dance floor, and we can see the remix doing some damage too. We just wish Large still put out vinyl!
Right, that’s enough chat. Let’s get on with this week’s picks. As always, if you plan on attending an event, please click through to the even page and click Join to help spread the word, and don’t be mad if we haven’t picked out your event. There’s so much going on in our city that we just don’t have time to cover them all!
Cadence presents Marcus Intalex, Brothers Brau, Patrick Currier & D’Solja at Flash, with Bump’n’Grind in the Flash Bar **Official 2015 Forward Festival Preview Party**
Top pick for Friday night is Cadence presents Marcus Intalex at Flash, with support from Brothers Brau, Patrick Currier & D’Solja. The Cadence crew have been trying to bring MarcusIntalex to DC for some time now, and this Thursday they finally succeed! With solid local support, including everyone’s favorite brewery owning DJ duo Brothers Brau, its sure to be a night to remember at Flash. Down in the Flash Bar, the team from Bump’n’Grind taken over, with sets from David, Julez DC and Jett Chandon. Advanced tickets are $12 from Ticketfly, but since this is an official 2015 Forward Festival Preview Party, FORWARD Festival 2015 pass holders get in free. Better grab that pass now before the prices go up!
Lost on Thursdays Lost Romaniacs feat. Nu Zau (UVAR / Bucharest) at Lost Society
Our pick for quality deep house vibes on Thursday is Lost on ThursdaysLost Romaniacs feat. Nu Zau (UVAR / Bucharest) at Lost Society. Rumor has it that this might be the last edition of Lost on Thursdays, so if you haven’t been for a while, this might be your last chance to say goodbye to one of the best week night parties in DC over the last few years. We certainly hope it isn’t true, but do you want to risk missing the last Lost? No cover, 21+.
Bondage Music: Mihai Popoviciu, Pornbugs, Sarah Myers, Charles Martin at Flash, with Body Werk present Andy Grant Open to Close in the Flash Bar
Top pick for Friday night is the Bondage Music showcase at Flash, with Romanian DJ / Producer Mihai Popoviciu and Pornbugs headlining the main room, with local support from Sarah Myers and Charles Martin. It’s an amazing lineup, which should make for an awesome night at Flash. Throw in a marathon open to close set from Andy Grant down in the Flash Bar, and you’ve got something for everyone! Advanced tickets are $8 from Ticketfly, more on the door, but remember there’s no cover for the Flash Bar. 21+
Amalgamation w/ OBJEKT (Extended Set) at Zeba Bar **Official 2015 Forward Festival Preview Party**
Our next pick for Friday is Washington DC’s premier multi-genre night Amalgamation at Zeba Bar, with an extended set from Objekt, and local support from Refugee B2B Tsurugi and Ey3witness. Anything goes at Almalgamation, and you can be sure of a solid crew of heads on the dance floor. $10 cover all night, but since this is and official FORWARD 2015 preview event, pass holders get in free! 21+.
Sensations Fix, Protect-U & Future Times DJs at Tropicalia

Kowli Presents: Kai Alce, Thommy Davis, & R&B at The Dark Room, Baltimore
Our recommendation for quality underground after hours action on Friday night is Kowli Presents: Kai Alce, Thommy Davis & R&B at The Dark Room in Baltimore. We’ve heard great things about The Dark Room, but haven’t yet been able to make it up there. This looks like an amazing line up, so make the effort if you can. You won’t regret it! Advanced tickets are $10. Head over to the event page for details on how to purchase.
N.E.D.C. ROOFTOP PARTY! Trev-ski’s B-day House Jam with DJ Soul, Philco & Philip Goyette at The Rock’n’Roll Hotel Rooftop
Kick off Saturday with Trev-ski‘s birthday on the Rock’nRoll Hotel rooftop from 5pm to 8pm, with an exclusive all Philip line up, including DJ Soul, Philco and Philip Goyette. The perfect way to start your Saturday night! No cover, 21+.
DJ Lisa Frank, Refugee, Bil Todd and Posers (Panch b2b Djoser) at U Street Music Hall
Our top pick for Saturday night is an impromptu locals night at U Street Music Hall. We were all set to pick out Boddika at U Hall as our pick for Saturday, but unfortunately Boddika canceled due to Visa complications, so instead we get a killer all-local lineup headlined by DJ Lisa Frank, with support from Refugee, Bil Todd and Posers (Panch b2b Djoser). That’s an all star local lineup right there, boding well for a mad night at U Hall! Advanced tickets are $10 from Ticketfly, but it’s free before 12am for 21+, so you’ve got every incentive to get there early. 18+, entry with advanced ticket only for those aged 18 to 20.
Prescription: UK Takeover with Andy Grant & Doktor D at Jimmy Valentine’s Lonely Hearts Club
For quality underground sounds away from the U Street crowds on Saturday night, head over to Jimmy Valentine‘s for the Prescription UK Takeover, as DC House Grooves founder Andy Grant and Doktor D take you on a journey through sound, but nothing but the finest underground house and techno, old and new. There’s always a great vibe at Jimmy V‘s, and with no cover and a huge selection of beers, everything is in place for a great night out. 21+.
Deep Sugar After Hours with Ultra Naté, Lisa Moody, DJ Biskit, The Elders, Mookie Wizzo & Shawn Q at The Paradox, Baltimore
Best after hours option for Saturday night is our favorite party, Deep Sugar at The Paradox in Baltimore. Shamefully, we haven’t made it up to the ‘Dox for a while, and we’re needing our fix! Saturday night, the Girl Squad Ultra Naté and Lisa Moody bring the heat to the main floor with DJ Biskit, while in the Chamber Shawn Q joins The Elders and Mookie Wizzo to keep you grooving until the sun rises. If you haven’t experienced it yet for yourself, get your ass to Baltimore in the early hours of Sunday and find out what all the fuss is about. $15 on the door. 21+.
ESL Sundays with Sam Burns’ Underground Soul Solution and The Metaphysical at Eighteenth Street Lounge
Top pick for Sunday is Sam Burns’ Underground Soul Solution at Eighteenth Street Lounge, where Sam takes the regular crowd of devoted house heads on a spiritual journey of quality house and classics in the gold room, while The Metaphysical throws down in main room. A perfect way to end your weekend.
Damn.. this thing takes longer to write every week, and it’ll only take longer as we move into the summer! Sucks for us, but great news for you all, with so many great events to choose from to keep you dancing. That’s it for our picks for this week, but make sure you look through the full listings below. Plenty of amazing options that we haven’t covered above. Make sure you click through to any events you plan on attending and click Join. Hope to see you all out on the dance floors of DC this weekend, and don’t forget to check back next week for another edition of the DC House Grooves Weekend Round Up.
Thursday April 9
Cadence presents Marcus Intalex, Brothers Brau, Patrick Currier & D’Solja at Flash, with Bump’n’Grind in the Flash Bar **Official 2015 Forward Festival Preview Party**
As we hurtle towards another massive weekend in the District, panic sets in at DC House Grooves as we realize how much there is to choose from, and try and figure out how to pick out the best events and write them all up in time for Thursday morning. So much to choose from, and its only going to get better (for you) and worse (for us) as we approach the summer and daytime, outdoor, rooftop party season! There’s so much to get through for this weekend that we’ll skip the usual rambling prose about last weekend and get straight on to the good stuff. Well, almost, because you’ll need something to listen to as you check the listings, and the great news is that FORWARD have published the latest mix in their Infinity mix series to celebrate FORWARD Festival 2015, an all vinyl, deep, spacey, techno mind trip, mixed by DC House Grooves founder Andy Grant:
Jimmy Edgar with Tittsworth, DJ Lisa Frank at U Street Music Hall
Top pick for Thursday night is Jimmy Edgar at U Street Music Hall, with support from Tittsworth and Lisa Frank. Continuing this week’s fifth birthday celebrations, U Hall are treating us with an incredible line up, which is sure to defy your expectations. We’d struggle to put any of these three DJs in a clearly defined genre box, so we won’t even try. Let’s just say you’re in for an amazing night of music, and you’re gonna dance your ass off. Advanced tickets are $10 from Ticketfly. We wouldn’t be surprised if this sells out, so we suggest your grab your tix now. 18+, 18-20 by advanced ticket only.
Lost on Thursdays Pre-Miami Party with Jubilee (Slope Traxx) and Matthew Hoag at Lost Society
Our next pick for Thursday is the Lost on Thursdays Pre-Miami Party with Jubilee(Slope Traxx) and Matthew Hoag at Lost Society. If you’re a regular reader, you know we’re big fans of the Lost on Thursdays vibe, and this week’s pre-Miami party is sure to be a good one with Jubilee in the driver’s seat. Last Friday at Body Werk in the Flash Bar, Jubilee played some of his latest unreleased productions, and they were pure dance floor heat. We’re sure he’ll be taking some of the new stuff for a spin on Thursday, so this is a great bet for deep, deep grooves on Thursday night. No cover, 21+.
On The Down Low with DJ Double 07 & Russell Campbell at Stetson’s Famous Bar & Restaurant
Our final pick for Thursday is a new weekly party from another one of our favorite locals, DJ Double 07: On The Down Low at Stetson’s Famous Bar & Restaurant. Each week Double 07 will be joined by a special guest, with Russell Campbell kicking things off. No cover, no drama, just quality deep house and debauchery with a crowd of like minded music lovers. We can’t speak to the venue, but we know with Double 07 in charge, you’re in good hands. 21+.
Trust Composite Featuring Andy Grant, Boss Ross & Johnny C at Zeba Bar
Top pick for Friday night is Trust Composite featuring Andy Grant(DC House Grooves) with support from Composite residents Boss Ross and Johnny C at our favorite neighborhood venue Zeba Bar. While Andy is better known locally as a house DJ, he’s long been an avid collector of techno, and Friday night he’ll be lighting up the Zeba dance floor, unleashing some serious heavy weapons from his collection. Throw in quality support from local champions of techno Boss Ross and Johnny C, along with visuals from [capsaicin], and you’ve got a recipe for a hot and sweaty night on the dance floor. No cover, 21+.
Mind Against (Life and Death), DJ Lisa Frank at Flash with Philco & Ypset in the Flash Bar
Next up for Friday night is Berlin-based duo Mind Against (Life and Death) with support from DJ Lisa Frank playing an extended opening set at Flash, with Philco & Ypset taking over the Flash Bar. Mind Against are a great booking, but the highlight for us is the chance to hear Lisa Frank playing an extended set on Flash’s wonderful system, so we recommend you get there early before the crowds, pick your spot on the dance floor and just let the music move you. All the early release tickets are gone, but you can still grab tickets for $15 from Ticketfly. 21+.
Chris Lake with Will Eastman at U Street Music Hall
Over at U Street Music Hall, the five year anniversary celebrations continue with Chris Lake, with support from Will Eastman. We can’t say we’re the biggest fans of Chris Lake’s productions, but we haven’t heard him DJ, so won’t make any judgements. This is a great chance, however, to catch Will Eastman playing an extended set, and he, more than anyone, knows how to work the U Hall system to maximum effect. It’s free before 11pm for 21+, so get there early, get in free, and catch a great opening set from a hometown hero. $15, 18+, entry by advanced ticket only for 18 to 20.
4 Hours of Funk with Graham & Fleg at The Windup Space, Baltimore
Our pick for Baltimore on Friday is Graham Hatke & Fleg‘s regular 4 Hours of Funk party at The Windup Space. 4 hours of funk, boogie, disco-funk and soul, brought to you by two of the region’s finest selectors. Free before 10pm, $5 after. 21+.
Red Light Dirty with Sam Burns, DJ Lisa Frank, Meegs, Rosenberg, Sinestro, and many, many more at Dance Loft on 14
Our top pick for Saturday night is a really interesting concept. A warehouse party with no lights, no visuals, just everyone wearing a red headlamp. No distractions, just multiple rooms of local DJs dishing out raw sounds from every electronic genre. Sounds like a lot of fun! The DJ line up is ridiculous, with sets from Sam “The Man” Burns, Lisa Frank, Meegs, V:shal Kanwar, Rosenberg, Julez ,Sequoia, David, Lush, Sinestro , Catalyst, SHAFT XXL, (troy((TALLENTAGENT))(137), Looseleaf, BEATrix, Total vs. SpecialSauce, The SIA & Tytonidae / Synz. And that’s just those confirmed so far! We’re all for a packed line up; we just hope with such a long list that they get to play sets of a decent length. We’re not big fans of the 45 minute DJ set here at DC House Grooves. Throw in hookah lounges and chill out spaces, and you’ve got a recipe for a real warehouse party experience. Advanced tickets are $15 from Brown Paper Tickets, but don’t forget your headlamp! They are required, and if you forget, you’ll need to buy one at the door for $15. Festivities kick off at 10pm, and continue until.. who knows?
Claptone with Beautiful Swimmers & Ken Lazee at U Street Music Hall
Next up for Saturday night, the U Hall 5 year anniversary continues with Claptonewith Beautiful Swimmers & Ken Lazee at U Street Music Hall. We couldn’t care less about a gimmicky DJ who wears a mask and whose bio boasts about placement in the Beatport chart, as if that’s some kind of worthwhile measure of their music’s value, then rambles on with some of the most pretentious, clichéd, poorly written drivel we’ve ever read. Shamanistic sonic powers? Really? Fuck that noise. For us, the real attraction is local duo Beautiful Swimmers playing at U Hall, with support from versatile local Ken Lazee. We’re huge fans of Beautiful Swimmers and their Future Times label, but they’re always jet setting around the world to perform in top international destinations, so we rarely get to hear them on their own turf. Our advice is to get there early to take advantage of free entry before 11pm, catch Ken and Beautiful Swimmers, and then make your own judgement on the masked headliners. We have it on good authority that they are really good, but for us that bio destroys their credibility, putting us off completely. Maybe we’re just not in on the joke? 18+, 18 to 20 with advanced ticket only, available for $15 from Ticketfly. Free entry before 11pm for 21+.
Saeed Younan’s Birthday Bash at Flash, with Ladies of The Underground in the FlashBar
Over at Flash, it’s local star Saeed Younan‘s birthday bash, where he’ll be playing an extended set with support from Omar Karim. It’s basically another local’s night at Flash; we love it when the big name headliner is one of our own, and every time we’ve heard Saeed at Flash it has been something special. Down in the Flash Bar, Vanniety Kills hosts another edition of her regular showcase of local female talent, with DJs Cbreeze, Jett Chandon and Jungle Jessi. Advanced tickets are $15 from Ticketfly, but there’s no cover if you just want to hang in the Flash Bar. 21+.
Uneasy Hiding Places with Boss Ross, Pacific Fur Company, Ron Jackson at Dr. Clock’s Nowhere Bar
For quality music from true heads in a more relaxed environment on Saturday night, Uneasy Hiding Places at Dr. Clock’s Nowhere Bar in Adams Morgan is the place for you, with an all local lineup including Boss Ross, Pacific Fur Company and Ron Jackson. When your DJs are doing it for the love of the music, you know its straight from the heart, and that’s what you’re getting with this lineup. Good vibes and good times guaranteed. No cover, no dress code, 21+.
2Tuff, Cadence, & Fort Knox Recordings present Bailey at Flash
Our top pick for Sunday sees drum and bass return to Flash, where 2Tuff, Cadence and Fort Knox Recordings present Bailey (Intabeats, Serato, Metalheadz, SoulinMotionLDN), with support from T.R.A.C., Slant, Seany Ranks & Joel Transit vs. Seven, while down in the Flash Bar, Rex Riddim, Qdup & Jey One bring the heat. Quality beats across two floors into the early hours of Monday morning. First release tickets are still available for $8 from Ticketfly: grab ’em while you still can! 21+.
ESL Sundays with Sam Burns’ Underground Soul Solution & The Metaphysical at Eighteenth Street Lounge
If house music is more your thing, our other pick to close out your weekend is local legend Sam Burns’ weekly Underground Soul Solution party in the Gold Roomat Eighteenth Street Lounge, where Sam takes the regular crowd of true house heads on a soulful journey featuring nothing but the best house and classics. Meanwhile, The Metaphysical brings the smooth grooves to the Main Room, open to close. $5 drinks specials 9pm to 11pm, no cover, 21+.
Lots of great picks for this weekend, but there’s a whole lot more going on. Check below for everything on our radar from Thursday March 19 through Sunday March 22. If you plan on attending an event, make sure you click through the Facebook event page and click Join.
Thursday March 19
