late night mischief

Here are my Top Picks for Pride weekend, Thursday through Sunday. Just between you and me, I’ve been seriously considering stopping these weekly posts, as they are taking longer and longer to compile. I started doing this weekly post to give something back to the community, but what I really want to be doing is making and playing music, which obviously requires a lot of time, too. With my day job and a house full of teenagers to look after, something has got to give if I want to meet all my goals. If you really want to know, the reason I keep these weekly posts going is that every single time I go out, someone approaches me . and tells me how DC House Grooves helped them find quality music in DC’s underground community. As long as this blog is helping people find their way to the good shit, I’ll keep things going. I just need to find ways to reduce how long it takes to compile each week, and if that means cutting back on the number of events I include each week, then so be it. There’s just so much going on these days that it takes way too long each week to include everything, so moving forward, I’m just not going to even try being comprehensive. I’m just going to list the events that I think are worth your time, and I’m just going to include the flyer images. You can figure the rest out by yourself. If you’re a promoter and you don’t see your event listed, don’t get mad! The best way to make sure I include your event next time is to make it easy for me and send me the flyer for your event before Wednesday, week of. Don’t make me do all the work. Ok, rant over. Here’s are my Top Pick for Pride weekend. Everything listed below is worth your time. See you on the dance floor!
