Gonna have to do this post real quick, as I’m heading out for a rare school night gig at U Street Music Hall tonight, the Moon Boots After Party, playing a B2B set with Katrina Mir on a line up that includes the always amazing Ozker and Baronhawk. Tickets are just $10, so if you’re looking to dance away those hump day blues, join us tonight at the Moon Boots After Party. And if you’re reading this on Thursday morning, too bad, you missed it!
Big weekend for the DC House Grooves crew this weekend! On Friday, we’re celebrating Katrina Mir‘s birthday with a crew throw down in the Green Room at Flash as part of another amazing Focus line up, featuring Derek Plaslaiko and Mozhgan on the club level and Neko Berg and Browz & Schwander in the bar. We may just have a few list spots available, so hit us up through the DC House Grooves Facebook page and tell us why you deserve a spot, and I’ll see what we can do 😉

Then on Saturday night, we’ll be decompressing after Friday with episode #058 of the DC House Grooves Show on Underground Quality Radio. For episode #058, Ramirez gets his turn to shine, delivering the headline set with support from myself, Andy Grant and Katrina Mir. I can’t wait to hear what Ramirez has lined up! My man always delivers.
One last thing before this week’s listings: The Get Down Halloween Adventure is fast approaching! With only a week more to go, now’s the perfect time to grab your advance tickets, and at only $30 for a whole weekend of quality music, including camping, it won’t break the bank! Taking place just an hour’s drive from Washington DC, deep in the woods near Fredericksburg, VA, October 25 to 27, The Get Down features an amazing local line up from a whole bunch of different crews across two stages, a haunted house, costume contest, meditation and a whole lot more. Andy Grant, Katrina Mir, Ramirez and Kochi are all on the line up, as well as friends of the family Damon Bradley, Heather Femia, Symmetrical and many more. Best of all, The Get Down is a no-bullshit, non-commercial festival, a proper gathering of heads for the love of the music, with a bit of Halloween fun in the mix. It doesn’t get more underground than this! So if you’re up for a fun weekend that’s a little bit different with no bullshit and no pretensions, join us out in the woods October 25 to 27 for The Get Down – A Halloween Adventure.
Right, here’s this week’s listings. As always, I’ve include the weekend line ups at Flash and Eighteenth Street Lounge, followed by flyers for all the best underground house, disco and techno events in and around Washington DC, Thursday through Sunday. Hope to see you all on the dance floor in the Green Room on Friday, and don’t forget to check back next week for Washington DC’s #1 resource for info on the best underground house and techno events.
