It is finally here! This weekend, we’re heading out of town to get spooky at The Get Down Halloween Adventure! A small underground festival just an hour by car from DC, The Get Down features an amazing local line up from a whole bunch of different crews, a haunted house, costume contest, meditation and a whole lot more. Andy Grant, Katrina Mir and Kochi are all on the line up, as well as friends of the family Damon Bradley, Heather Femia, Symmetrical and many more. Best of all, The Get Down is a no-bullshit, non-commercial festival, a proper gathering of heads for the love of the music, with a bit of Halloween fun in the mix. Now’s the time to grab your advance tickets, and at only $30 for a whole weekend of quality music, including camping, it won’t break the bank. Before I get into the listings for this weekend, major thanks to everyone who came out to Flash last Friday and celebrated Katrina Mir‘s birthday with us! What an incredible night in the Green Room! I don’t think we’ve had a better night a Flash in all the years we’ve been played there. Thanks also to the whole team at Flash, to the management for booking us, and to all the bar and security staff for making sure everything went smoothly. We can’t wait to do it again! For those who couldn’t make it, we recorded the whole night, five hours of pure vibe served up fresh from the wax by me, Andy Grant, Ramirez and Katrina Mir.

Just about recovered from Blisspop Disco Fest last week! It was amazing to warm up the floor for Sam Burns, Cerrone, Jellybean Benitez, DJ Boring and Honey Sound System. Major thanks to everyone at U Street Music Hall for inviting me to play. It was a really well run event, and it was great to see so many people of all ages getting down to some proper disco grooves. I, for one, really enjoyed digging deep in my collection for disco vibes and leaving the house music at home for once!

This weekend, we’re back with episode #057 of the DC House Grooves Show on Underground Quality Radio with me, Andy Grant, Ramirez and Katrina Mir. This time around, we’re switching up the format a bit. Rather than the usual B2B2B, one of us will headline the show, with the support from the other two. For episode #057, Katrina Mir is getting the spotlight, headlining the show after a warmup from me and Ramirez.
